3 Ways I Use Black Castor Oil

When it comes to my skincare and hair routines, I'm pretty loyal. I try to stay away from anything that's too harsh for my skin/scalp and stick to what I like + know; natural oil and products. Since the beginning of my loc journey, I've been using Mango & Lime products in my hair (see here), so when I was given the opportunity to try their Black Castor Oil, I jumped for joy.

Over the last three weeks, I was able to explore the possible options this product provided. Here are the three ways I used Black Castor Oil and loved every second of it:

1. Skin Moisturizer

I remember mentioning a while back how much I'm in love with Coconut oil because of its ability to keep my skin smooth and soft during the winter. However, I think it's time to add Mango & Lime's Black Castor Oil to the list. I tried it for 7 days, initially rubbing it on my skin upon stepping out of the shower. The results? They are amazing. My skin felt soft all day and during a winter like this, I'm surprised it did. Girl, get you some Castor Oil.

2. Makeup Removal

After a long night out, no girl wants to climb into bed with makeup on. Not only do you wake up with messy pillowcases, but sleeping with makeup clogs your pores and eventually gives you bad skin. To assist in makeup removal, I suggest using the castor oil. It's simple. Dab a little on a small cotton pad, and just wipe. It comes off extremely easy and leaves you wondering what have you been doing all of your life.

In other words, get on it.

3. Oiling My Scalp

This is the part where I tell you how much I love my hair and how I treat it like the holy grail. Seriously, it took me 5 years to get to this point, so I cherish it. I've used Mango & Lime's Shampoo and Conditioner before, so it's only fair to try it on my scalp. As you can see, I'm loving the results. I applied to my scalp every three days and my ends each time.

Results: My hair didn't feel heavy. My roots were soft. It didn't feel super greasy. I felt like the Queen I am.

Overall: I'm happy I was able to try this product. I don't think I'll ever get tired of using natural oils for skincare, hair care, and daily use. Who would've thought that I, Debbie, would be adding an exotic Jamaican Black Castor Oil made from the fruit of the Mongongo tree, to my natural oil arsenal?

I say, check them out and see for yourself. I promise you won't be disappointed.
