My Return to the Keyboard

Hiya Bellas!

If you’re reading this and have been with me since the 2016s, I’m sure you’re giggling a bit. I’ve missed you. I know I took a break from this influencer/blogging thing and I’m not going to sell you a fib, life kicked ass for the last couple of years since Covid made its debut. The last time we got caught up, the engagement was called off. My last biggest collaboration was an #OInsider. Once COVID landed in NYC, I lost the energy and creative juice to maintain this space and what I thought was going to be a 6-month sabbatical turned into a 3-year vacation.

Within those couple of years, we’ve endured a handful of heartbreaks from the loss of friends, family members, and partners, and amazing opportunities here and there. We’ve also chopped our locs off, so enjoy these photos…hahaha! It was a struggle for a bit. But for the first time in a long time, I feel the air clearing and I’m ready to fly again.

I missed the collaborations, the creativity, and the occasional networking events where I’d meet your faves. I missed the talks and vulnerable conversations we used to have over on my Instagram stories about therapy sessions, no-good exes, adventurous friends, and experiences that should be in a book somewhere.

I’m happy to be back again. Blogging for 4 years and working with some amazing brands brought cool experiences that I’ll never forget. However, the reincarnation of this space isn’t for blog collaborations. It’s more of a selfish reason this time around and that’s for me (and you). Photography is my bread and butter, it’s my life. But as of late, I’ve been wanting to add more razzle and dazzle to my life. That’s when I remembered how blogging added to my body of work as an artist/professional. I was the most creative when I had another outlet.

So here we are. 3-years later and ready to try this blogging thing again. You might notice some of your favorite blog posts are gone. Not to fret. We’re making space for newness. So, are you with me?
